I lost Thunder in January 2015 to sudden heart failure, likely caused by an embolism or similar condition.  He went very quickly, with no suffering - he dropped and was gone.  He changed my life forever, bringing me into the world of miniature horses and allowing me to meet some amazing people.  He was a once in a lifetime horse, and he will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Thunder was my very first horse, and I was very pleased with him.  He had a wonderful temperament and a "look at me" attitude.  He placed in the ribbons at both of the shows he went to in his first show season.  Despite Thunder's wonderful looks and fantastic attitude, in 2013 I made the difficult decision to geld him.  He had been an amazing stallion for me, but since I don't have the facilities to start a breeding program, I felt that he deserved the more relaxed and social life of a gelding.

In Thunder's final show season, he became the first of my horses to earn Reserve Champion standing in the AMHR Canadian All-Stars.
